Welcome to Lisbon Leather, my name is August the maker of the leather products you find in this store, I've always had a love for sewing and drawing, previous to starting this exciting leather adventure I owned an embroidery digitizing business for over 30 years, and translated to embroidery the logos of thousands of companies that we all know and shop.

My birth place is Lisbon the capital of Portugal, a small country in Europe where I resided till the age of 10 and then moved to New York with my parents, my mother is a seamstress, and my father the owner of a few jewelry stores. I am married to my wonderful wife Jessi who also has her own business in crochet and graphic arts and joins in to help in the various leather projects.

All items we sell are handmade, every cut of leather and every stitch is made by hand and with the assistance of sewing machines and other tools, handmade items are very special as each one is different and you can see the touch of a human, even in the beautiful imperfections that make it so special, apposed to automated items that look all the same.

Our goal is to produce fashionable items that will last and bring joy to its owner for many years, we are not planning to enlarge our business in the near future, but only to acquire and serve a clientele that we can deal with on a more personable level.

We look forward to serving you with items you may purchase for yourself, or as gifts for special people in your own lives on holidays and other special occasions.
